Happy Easter! and goals for April

I've been MIA for a while which is mainly down to overwhelming work load and my love of sleeping. To be honest I feel like everything has been falling apart recently and now is time to put it back together the only way I know how: with a good list.

1. Get to the gym

lululemon #fitspo:
For a while I've been really into exercising frequently going to the gym a couple times a week and going to dance classes but with mounting work levels I've completely slacked off. It's unbelievable how I can see the difference in only 3 (maybe 4 eek!) weeks and it's a shame how months of hard work can go to waste in such a short amount of time.
It's really important to exercise for stress relief so it's definitely time I started listening to my own advise and just do it!

2. Write better quality blog posts

travel writer:
I've only been blogging for about 4 months and really haven't got the hang of it yet but I'm learning I guess. When contemplating why I don't get many blog views it mainly comes down to how useful are my posts. And at the moment? Not very. For me it's definitely important to write personal posts, like this one, but I'm going to try to get some informative ones in there, the type I would want to read.

3. DIY more

DIY Open Back Blazer
A pair and a spare
To be honest I'm getting a bit sick of our current age of fast-fashion and social media. I think it stops you appreciating little things, and we all have so much stuff now it is getting a bit ridiculous. That's why I think DIY not only makes things more personal, but no-one else has them and it's much cheaper than going to Zara and buying that bag everyone loves, why not be your own person?!
Now that leads me on to...

4. Stop obsessing over trends

Gal meets Glam
I'm so guilty of this, if anyone has read my Fashion sites list you would know how many I read, again it's a bit ridiculous. As you may know hearing about the latest trends and seeing super-rich bloggers parading around in them is a huge influence and can make me buy into things I don't really like.(Bomber jackets anyone?) It also has the tendency to make you measure your self-worth on how 'fashionable' you are. This is why I'm going down the Julia Engel route. She doesn't follow trends yet her style is impeccable, it just shows how wearing what you like is more important that wearing clothes just to please others.

What kind of posts do you like to read? Happy Easter! Gxx
